found an old jensen EQA 111, help. please

ok, im wanting to get the clarion eqs746 (i can get it for 53.00 + shipping) but i found my old jensen EQ but never hooked it up. how do i hook it up? run rca's from my rear aux on my HU to the input of the EQ? im clueless. i know jensen eq = eww, but its better than nothing for now

No.

If your Pioneer has an Aux port at the rear that is going to be an input not an output.

You'll want to connect either the front or rear set of RCA outputs coming out of the rear of your HU to the inputs on the EQ. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

no this will be on the clarion HU that i will be getting in the mail, its the Clarion DXZ765MP. i belive my pioneer's RCA's are jacked. my sub level keeps dropping. my amp doesnt turn off, it just stops playing at certain notes. never done this before. i had to ground my rca's because of the alt whine, and now this. so im going to try a new headunut, but the clarion doesnt have an EQ as good as my 6900

and im talking about the RCA's labled "REAR" on my 6900. i have my front aux to my ea2000 and my sub aux to my kicker. i have one remaining auxilary

Well, the same process as I posted in Post #2 will still hold true.

Use either the front or rear RCA preouts (whichever is most convenient for you) and make certain that any and all internal processing for those preouts is turned off.

This is to ensure that a full-range signal is getting sent to the EQ and letting the EQ do all of your processing for you rather than trying to make it equalize a pre-processed signal before it even makes it into the EQ.

what about the plugs? this jensen has plugs like the back of a headunit does as well as RCA inputes. i also went ahead and ordered thr eqs746 while waiting for you to reply lol. but im sure this EQ qwill have the same wire plugs. what do i do with those?
