I have what I believe is an old school power 800.2. I know the older fosgate amps usually ran hot but this one gets ridiculously hot in about a minute. I was in the process of clamping it, hooked up power, ground and remote wire. I noticed it was getting warm instantly. After less than a minute I couldn't touch it. Didn't even have speaker wires plugged in yet. I unplugged it and let it cool down then hooked a sub up to it. I plug the remote wire back in an started to test. It does have output, but before I can even start to test it, it's scary hot!! Anyone else have this problem? Or suggestions on what to look for that could be causing the problem.
