how do you take off the speaker grill thing that is in front of the speaker safely?? so u can put it back on is it screwed in somewhere? and are all tweeters the same size?

Its really not that hard to take off a few screws, you could prolly find something online to help, or you can pay some shop to do it........

x2 my cousin had a 01 taurus, my uncle has a 97 both have that grill thing you talking about. It does not come off, but the door panel is easy to remove.

I took some speakers out of the 01 before he traded it in (he had someone else to install them) and took the door off without any problems never having done one before.

pretty sure the tweeters are around 1".

does anyone know how much wats the factory speakers would be? cause i may get the 30watts rms 150 peak.....what is the factory speakers wattage

and if i have an amplifier do i need to hook upm those 2 red and white wires to the amp?
