ok how the heck do you tune a box to 40hz? Making it smaller would def. help but i dunno how to make it exactly right, give me a sec to get the dimensions of my original design...

ok, my original design was Width 30" Height 11" Depth 10", that would net 1.332, after the port and bracing that sounds about right...

make the port opening 20 square inches

and inside make the length 17 inches. you may have to use several pieces of mdf to make the ports length

you can make the length shorter. it will raise your tuning the shorter you make it though

like 10 inches tall and 5 wide...so that takes care of the 20 sq"...then make the port a right angle so its like...8 inches deep and 9 inches to the left? providing i start the port on the right side...

i would use aero ports personally and port it out the side of the box not forward. 1 6'' aero would be good for spl being that you would get allot of port surface area in a small space.
