Just like the past two boxes I built for my ranger. Both of mine were sealed though.

Seems like the best design, downfiring seems to sound good and gives you some protection from stuff sliding around damaging the cone...

sounds waaaaaay better than up! i will tell u that much and this box sounds better than my old one that was facing foreword. but ima golfer so i need a place to put my clubs inside my truck so i just put em rith on top and dont have 2 worry about efn up the cones!

i put the sub amp on the box... i no i no people say bad idea due to rattling but whole frkn truck rattles worse! the fusion is mounted on the top with1/2" rubber cut outs on each mounting bracket. barely rattles plus i tightened the setting knobs before mounting so they don't move on me!

edit: here they are!

first pic shows box with amp mounted on top

secon shows the small gap of the mounting bracket on the amp due to the rubber and it being screwed down so tightly

last is the way i wired it up. i know i know many believe a power cap is crap but got it for free looks cool so i threw it in there!

Nice.....is it any louder firing down vs. up or forward? I know you said it sounds better but could you tell a difference as far as volume?

yeah i really could! i first just set the box in to where it was firing up just 2 c sounded terrible. foreward really nice! down even better! u FEEL the music! plus u dont get alot of roof flex with them down which is really nice, i dont like roof flex to noisy! but it could b the three layers of sludge i put up there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif haha! but there is a difference to my ear everything sounds crisper!

****! gona b load as hell! hey quick question 4 yah. u c that brown plastic above the box... shit rattles like a bish! i totally 4 got to throw sound deadener on that part! what else can i use besides deadener to keep that thing quit?
