ford factory cd changer

i am going to switch out my factory ford head unit with a kenwood excelon unit but i read that when i do this, the factory cd cganger will not be functional anymore. is this true? is there anything i can do to keep it functional?

I am trying to connect my Ford Escort 1997 factory unit (5000 RDS) to Kenwood CD changer...

Interested if you found something about that...??

Is it possible to find somewhere an electronic scheme of those adapters?
