Ford Excursion Build

Now the fun stuff starts. Plans are still a 15" Peavey and a pair of 12" Peaveys in each door. Im also going to be running 3 PRV Audio tweeters in each door. Planning on eventually putting a Stetsom 7k on the 6 mids. Also going to have another pair of 15" Peaveys, or maybe even a pair of 18" Peaveys in the center console if they will fit.

Also, was working on this a bit today. The stupid seat rocker control was in the way of the speaker, so it has to go.

This is stock in the truck.

Took it off and cut the piece out. Then stretched some material over the hole.

Resined the front, and glassed it from the back. Still was in the middle of grinding the excess off.

Can barely even feel the seam. Still havent bodyworked it or anything yet. Should look stock when its done.

How do you like the H/U so far? I got the 1400 model cause I dont need BT. Will be putting it in once I get back. How is the SQ on it? I'm not expecting anything to great but dont want it to sound like complete **** either. Looking good so far though. Those peaveys look sick

Ive only ran it on a crappy set of Bostons in the doors, so really cant tell. It obviously sounds night and day better than the generic no-name double DIN that was in it before.

I do really miss the crossover capabilities of the 880PRS that I had in my previous truck.

I have actually been thinking about selling it and getting a 880prs. I kind of want to try my hand at running some pro audio and doing an active setup. Just hate to sell it without having even used it once but I now I'll get less once I use it. **** car audio and us always wanting to do something new and never sticking to a solid plan for long

I was really looking at the B&C neo 10" for my midbass but those black widows are just... I dunno, awesome for the price. If you can get us a video of them playing sometime when you have nothing to do, I look forward to seeing it.

I got a 12" BW ordered, going to get another thursday, not too costly to try a pair out. Hopefully that will be enough for the doors in my tb. Doing 6.5s coaxials for rear doors as I don't plan on many people sitting there anyhow.

Still want to hear one of yours when you get a chance, just to see overall loudness and such.
