I definitely remember that screenname. And no, never got a new AIM. Havent been on it in years. People still use it?

Got a sub for free. Kicker L5 12. And Im borrowing a friend's Kicker ZX1000. So I threw it in the other day.

Monster beast mac-daddy sub.

Luckily I still have the trusty old Avalanche and Im able to use the bed to pick up wood. This is yet another box built on the tailgate of this thing. Threw it together real quick the other day and it is actually surprisingly loud. Id guess Im literally close to a 140 legal. Looks arent the concern, just another temp setup.

15 "should" be HE or SPS, 12 "should" be sps as far as I would know from looking at specs and what i'd use in my own.

15" CU specs state it likes huge boxes 4-8 cubes so doubtful it'd be that.

didn't find any 12" that were he or cu either but I just glanced via partsexpress.

No, I just got a couple 1508-4 SPS's. And there's a few different ones. Not real sure how different each is.

I ordered direct from Peavey, they have alot more than what PE offers.

I'm pretty sure I got the right one's for what I want to use them for but am curious as to what "GM" is using. I've used Eminence 6's and 8's in the past but nothing this big.

actually, after looking them over..I like the ones I picked better instead of starting at 60hz.. they start at 50hz lol.

What is the L5 port made out of? Foil tape and pvc or purchased aeroports? When you built that box, did you factor in the volume displacement resulting from the 45's in the corners? Looking forward to seeing your doors!

It's just a basic aeroport. I taped it to hold it together.

And no I didn't account for the 45s. Heck, I didn't even check to see the tuning before I built it. Just slapped together a square box and stuck a port in it.
