I know it can't compete well with a lot of cars out there but that is what makes it a guilty pleasure.
Pantera Pushbutton???

I've seen a range of Panteras from the first production ones to the later models. I wouldn't want a '71 pushbutton for the sole reason that the passenger compartment was known to get pretty warm because of crappy insulation between the occupants and the engine. Although it was the most powerful one made because it was right before gas started soaring. Whatever the case, Pantera's just looked fast and could be modded the same way as a Mustang could.

I don't know specs without looking them up but my uncle could probably answer half the questions I ask him if I ever got around to calling him. He worked as an engineer at Ford for 25-30 years and just recently retired. Because he could get discounts straight from the company, that side of my family is impartial to Ford products and it somewhat rubbed off on me. But I don't have a favorite auto maker, I go for individual models and save the bantering for everyone else.

Yeah, that is what I was wondering...I know a guy who put Dynamat on the fire wall so it would not be so hot...he sold it for 22k...not worth that muck to me...

As you may notice I am new here. After reading the entire thread I noticed a few people making total idiots of themselves.

Anyone that calls a Viper V10 low tech is uneducated in cars. Anyone that thinks the corvette more is high tech is also stupid. The corvette motor is the same basic motor chevy has had since the 60's. Sure they changed the heads and its all aluminum now but its still a pushrod motor. Theres alot more technology in the viper motor then the vette motor. First its a V10. The Viper just needs some forced induction to be the meanest thing on any street. Hennesy has a New package for them called the Venom 1000. A viper with twin turbos producing 1000hp.

Another thing. Why the heck would anyone diss a lightning or cobra? Eaither one I have seen beat corvettes. And believe me living in Bowling Green, KY I see plenty of vettes on the streets. I see appr. 10 vettes a day if not more. Yes lightnings do way around 4-5000 pounds. The new trucks are heavy. My F100 weighs 2800 pounds. My 97 F150 weighs over 5000 pounds. 2003 Cobras have anywhere from 360-390 RWHP. For around $1000 You can get it to 500RWHP. Simple bolt ons and plug ins. All you have to do is be able to control the computer and stuff more boost into it and put side pipes on it. Lightnings are the same way, although you can't pull HP out of them as easy due to the 16 valve heads.

Mustangs and camaros are in the same class. Dodge has nothing in this class

Corvettes and cobras are in another class

Vipers in a class all to there own. If you have never set your butt in a "low tech" viper you should try it sometime. For "low tech" it sure feels alot faster then any vette or camaro I've rode in.

Oh and ir you're wondering about my user name I have a 63 F100 stepside with a 347 smallblock twinturbo pushing out over 700hp. And YES you can see the dyno sheet.

Hey boss, well spoken, coudl we see pix of the engine? that has to be a beast, the only TT 347 I have ever heard of, thats original man, good to have yeah here, oh and if your wondering I am driving a higly modded 92 explorer, with no external mods to fool the grand cherokee fools with their 5.2 V8s as I pull away in a heavier older truck with a worn out V6 of smaller displacement

I have pics before I sent it off to have the turbos installed but none since. Heres a list of everything it has..

302 bored .030 over

Forged 347 stroker crank

Lunati H beam rods

Speed pro forged pistons

Edelbrock performer #6037 small valve heads

Chrome Holley valve covers

Ford truck Upper and lower fuel injected intake with port work

True roller double roller timing chain

220/228 duration @.050 Roller cam

1.6 ratio crane rollers

Dynomax headers

(2) Garret T3 turbo.s

Art Carr C4

We usually doo all of the work ourselves but I wanted the turbo's done right. We're having some pretty serious tuning problems with it and have already spit out some pistons on the dyno. I'm looking for a good 4 bolt main 302 block although the bottom end is holding. There's a few parts I'm afraid won't last long once it hits the streets. And tires aren't what I'm talking about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif What I have found though is Nitrous and turbo's are very ard to get to work together. I will more then likely get rid of the NOS as it will only get me in trouble.

ON a 200hp shot of nitrous I'm getting

992 FT. lbs of tourqe at 2000rpm

811ft lbs at 5000 RPM

700HP at 4 grand

788hp at 5500

I'm definately not going to turn it over 5 mainly because of this

Maximum Fuel Flow 'Fuel Flow' is 413 lbs/hr GAS.

This is equal to 70.6 gallons per hour of fuel flow.

It's really just a toy as it's to much to drive on the street before I sent it off for turbo's. I just want to be able to pop the front tires

HEy guys. . I had the pleasure of driving a zo6 corvette for my 18-bday. I have never rode in or driven a viper but I wouldn't hesitate to say that a zo6 would give the viper a hell of a time keeping up. I think it would give it a hell of a time on a rode course as well.

The guy who owns it, resently sold it forthe new harley, took me for a ride, 35 mph curve at 80 with no roll, no tire slip. It was a ****ing rush. 0-100-0 in 13.4 seconds. that is a **** good car. I don't know that much about either but this guy has rebuilt practically every car on the road today and told my father and I that it would hang with if not beat any stock viper on the strip, or road. just my thoughts. Hell of an 18 B-day present. can't wait to see his new Harley.

The initial idea was to do all of this ourselves. I had figured out I could do it for under a grand if i did all the fab and install. I could pick up good T-3's off of OEM cars at our junkyard for the large sum of $38. That meant the turbos themselves would only cost me $76. But one thing turned into another and I couldn't afford all of the pieces I needed to do it. So I've been slowly saving up and I hope it will now all work out. Plus t-3s are in the right size range appr.

i'd definetly go with chevy. I personally don't like ford, but that's just me.

and........how bout:

68' Chevy Nova

355 small block

471 Blower

Kick *** custom paint job (candy apple red, w/ FX)

30" rear tires

with around 900 horses to kick a ford's ***

**** $38 buck for a turbo, that is unreal, nice tou come on that one, hey I would have dont the same thing, but I just asked because I was wondering why you did not doa single turbo set up like a T-76, but the set up you have is much more frugal and might produce more HP in the long run and giveing you more low end power
