For you guys that may own a penciled barreled Mini 14/30...

Just got my barrel for my 186xxx Mini-14 back from 300Below yesterday.

Installed it and took her to the range today to see how the Cryo treating worked out.

That along with an Accu-strut, not more stringing!! Before she would go low and right after the barrel heated up.

That and would hold about 2.25" at 100yds with crap ammo.

Now will hold a 1.5" @ 100and minute of man out to 400 with same crap ammo.

Not bad for a SHTF weapon for less than 1k total investment with 200% RELIABILITY!!

If you own a mini, the cryo treatment is highly recommended.!

I've been looking at a mini for a little while now.

IMO, stay away from the newer models...

anything pre 189xxx should be good.

I put 1200+ rnds through mine in 2 days with 0 cleaning and lubing and had 0 problems....

can not say that for any of my ARs...

The newer Minis seem to have firing pin problems....and you just can install a new one. They are hand fitted....

But as fat as a good, reliable SHTF weapon......I say yes 100%.

If you need anything more accurate than that...well thats what the bolt guns are for.
