Hey I came at you with a scarcasm that you must have missed and then bashed my car fool.Lets see which car lasts longer, and is more comfortable, better built, etc. Lets both rev to 6500 RPM and see which is smoother.
I've taken a ride in a 2006 Focus (sedan), and it wasn't much of a step up from my mom's Sunfire. Fit and finish of the interior was "decent", but the exterior was a joke. Not to mention it sounded like you were traveling at highway speeds, regardless of how fast you were actually going.
If you're a true car guy, then you will respect another car guy, and think "to each his own", instead of being a smartass on an internet forum. I could care less which car is faster, I'm just another car guy tweaking his ride.

Nah man it's all good.Hey I came at you with a scarcasm that you must have missed and then bashed my car fool.
You are right about the fit and finish. Not gonna lie, it isn't the quietest, smoothest, best built car around. Thing is I bought it new for 16g's, was pushing 19, but they came down. Have had it 2 years now and at 25,000 miles with not one problem as of yet. I have raced my car, and drive very spirited most days. I have close to 2g's in mods too it and is not a slow car by any means. Was a 16.1 stock quarter and I am pushing low 14's with out a turbo. I will be getting that this summer, hopefully and will be doing 12's if I am lucky. So trust me, this car can go. As far as your's lasting longer, again you are probably right, but I tend to only keep my rides for short times. Longest ride I have had was around 4 years, lol!
True car guy? WTF is that supposed to mean, lol! Like your rocking a muscle car or something!
are you retarded? you dont need to like a certian car (or own one) to be a car guy... not our problem you drive a ford fuckusTrue car guy? WTF is that supposed to mean, lol! Like your rocking a muscle car or something!
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif I get about 20-22 highway with my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
When my foot lets me that is
If I'm easy on it, I get between 24-26 in the city, and I usually drive the car like I stole it, so right now I'm averaging 22 mpg.Hell my car is a 4 banger and factory they say I am supposed to get 23-31 IIRC. I usually get 18-25 if I am lucky and given that is spirted in most cases. The most I got on a full tank was 350 driving like a grandma!
Wasn't what I was trying to say about driving a muscle car. Majority of car guys usually work on older cars, such as muscle cars and what not. Wasn't trying to say offend you or others that seem to get butt hurt on this site, lol!Nah man it's all good.
So since I'm not driving a '70 Chevelle SS, I'm not a car guy? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
What mods have you done to your focus? And I have always had a soft spot for the last gen SVT Focus. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Like I said, I'm new to the "sport compact" scene. What mods does it take to get more juice out of these engines? Everyone tells me Honda 4-bangers have tons of potential. I grew up working on 350 Chevy's.
Any good sites out there?
I am over 200hp right now. Was 151 stock. Never had any problems with it yet.How the hell did $2000 in mods drop two seconds off your quarter mile time? I call BS. And also good luck on traction on a FWD with a decent amount of horsepower/torque once you add that turbo. Other than that, not meaning to be a dick, just seemed a bit off.
Some I got good deals on for instance the exhaust system I didn't pay a dime for. Port and polish, thanks to my dad and his friend, the rest I paid for.Either you got a good deal on some of those parts or, I dunno... didn't seem like much money to be dropping that kind of time on the 1/4. Still seems kind of iffy but I guess I can see with the cams and some of the mods + the chip dropping a decent amount of time off. As for 200 hp, that sure ain't to the wheels. Get yourself an Si! Haha they aren't too much more than what you paid for the ST and completely stock at our Dyno Day my club held we had them running anywhere from 190-195 hp to the wheels. Light mods... 205-210.
