ive seen people put higher gears and get a higher 60 foot time cause they dont have enough wheelspeed, there is give and take but not in anything modern will you get a half second from gearing

in what car exactly? everything makes a difference. tire size to rear end. simply put you want the gear ratio optimized for the greatest acceleration.

cas with more low to midrange torque are naturally gear lower and longer with less gears.. while your high HP cars like lambo are lower shorted gear ratios with more gears.
