yeah i like marshmello besides some of the gayish music videos and some of their songs are too soft for me

you mean that trap, dubstep hybrids that everyone just moshes too? i'm getting tired of it to be honest. Tired as fk of it. I might sound like a hippie right now but raves used to be a spiritual euphoric place to go to with music you can either dance to or get lost in another world to with snuggling up with some hot chicks. now its just head banging, mosh pitting and sh*t, music sounds like transformers having ret*rded s*x with no lube. I mean thats cool and all but thats why i go to metal/hardcore concerts for... not fking raves.

Used to be able to just chill give light shows, get crazy when need to, fk girls right in the open, have a couple orgies here and there. The music actually allowed for those settings, now its overly aggressive to the point where its attracting a bunch of fking "bros" crowding the place and making hormone infested mosh pits. Not to mention the stupid excess security where they kick you out if you are caught giving lightshows.... Whatever, not my preference but There's still scantily clad chicks to bang so I'll adapt, still can finger bang and make out on the dance floor but its not the same.

BTW marshmellow live, nothing soft about his sh*t. people rage like crazy on his sets.

lmao i dont think we're talking about the same edm or trap. i mostly listen to remixes of edm but not something like head banging ****. listening to it at a rave/concert and listening to it in your car are two different things imo. you're talking about rolling at a concert, where you wont notice repeated ****. i cant stand repeated boring beats and thats really what i try to avoid

I usually keep the ones that are recorded really well that has soundstage elements built into the recording and sparkle/details as well for in car/gym listening.

i used to download every single A State of Trance episode that came out because they were epic, but im not a fan of how Armin has kinda started catering to the ADHD crowd with 40- to 50% of the original tracks in his 2 hour sets. I guess he wants to expose us to more music and if you like it, youll go download the entire track. I just preferred the old format

oh, you left out Future Sounds of Egypt and Jaren, Cerf & Mitiska. The song "beggin you" by the latter is one of my all time favorites. Oh, and you cant go wrong with the Armin remix of "you never said" on the ASOT 354. Awesome tune!!!

Hybrid, Rabbit in the Moon, Deep Dish, DDR, Sasha & Digweed, Trancesetters, Deep Sky, Meat Katie, Dylan Rhymes, Force Mass Motion, Solar Stone, Neelix, Future Sound of London. The list goes on and on of great older groups and single artists. Slacker was a madman for awesome remixes, along with John "Quivver" Graham and so many more. What style are you looking for specifically? For me it's very tough to listen to a lot of the new stuff that sounds like, to paraphrase JeffdaChef, reta-rded robots having relations. I miss the days when DJs used actual vinyl records. Darn I feel old now.

EDC in Las Vegas is coming up and they have a whole stage dedicated to trance/psytrance and I'm super excited for it! Got some big names in it like Cosmic Gate, Ferry Corsten, Infected Mushroom, John O Callaghan, Markus Schulz, Paul Van Dyk and Simon Patterson.

I went to the EDC that was held out at Lake Deloris back in 99. How times have changed. Saw BT that night. Crazy times. Now it's a full tilt extravaganza.

Edit: I forgot to mention Breeder in my first post. Huge TRANCE production team that put out some killer tracks like Twilo Thunder and Rockstone.
