Ive live just about in all 4 corners of this country (in Cali currently) and travel all over it alot for work. The number of illegal imigrants and non-english speaking mexicans here, in just about every corner of the country, is astounding. Im not racist, but I do believe in immigrating legally, and I believe our immigration system is a joke/shambles/pathetic/dangerous to our welfare.
We offer wages they could not dream of in Mexico, we offer driver's liscenses, we even offer free medical services. My brother, who was recently diagnosed with a (quite possibly) fatal illness and who is not well off financially is having almost an impossible time getting financial help for his medical bills. Illegal immigrants get better medical help from our govt than my brother can get, because he's a white male (been told this to our faces, not making this up). Ive been to the offices before, to hear the nurse/secretary tell my bro he wasturned down for services, meanwhile the waiting room is filled with non-english speaking mexicans. *sigh* My brother has paid his taxes his entire life, for this? BS
A couple years ago some illegal mexican immigrants were found dead in the desert (in arizona iirc), they had died trying to walk to civilization across the desert after illegally crossing the border. There was a push from liberals to put water stations out in the desert, to prevent this from happening again. I understand the humanity of that, but jeez how far will we go to help people immigrate here illegally? Ridiculous.
