Correct, a million dollars doesn't seem to be worth as much as it was a few years back, but if you're not an incompetent fool, you could live for YEARS on that amount of money.

For Christ's sake, families live normal lives with a house hold income of under 80k a year, by default you're given about 10 years to get by with that amount of money, and thats if you're that incompetent fool who didn't invest any of it.

I already know what I'd do with it, I'd probably invest about half of it into my companies stocks, and live of the dividend check of about 150,000 a year. Then when I retire, I'll get back that stock for it's value at the time, which would more than likely exceed the 500k I put in originally. This is of course if the company continues on the trend it's been on for the last 10 years.

I think he was basically saying he's not gay, but for a mil he would do it, and for 2 million he would even fondle balls. But he said it in a more urban, cool way.
And I agree a mil isnt what it used to be, but if you invest and manage your money reasonable instead of splurging, you'd be set for life. But you couldnt live like all the famous celebs who drop 500k on watches.

Oh, and I wouldnt do it during the super bowl, but I still would even if some ppl knew, but not if it was on the news or televised or something. Only if it were my friends or something.

you see this is where you guys are missing it.... yes a million $ is a lot of money..... if you get a job right out of college and you make over $60k per year to start and that is quite good you won't make a million $ in your whole life after taxes..... think about it and do the math....

Now, I wouldnt enjoy it or like it, but for one million Id do it. It is a very small price to pay for money and investments that one and one's family could live off of for many many years, if youre smart about it.
