i see alot of the lower end focal's are rated at 60 watts RMS, are they underrated?? i have 110 x 2 rms and i dont want to waste any power so to speak. i really want a good tonality rather than punchy midbass and im throwin focal in the equation so im looking for some opinions.

You want midbass. Its one of the harder things to replicate in an audio system, and that becomes more apparent as your system develops. Start reading, (Ive been at it for 5 hrs just this evening) looking for info on speakers. Listen to all the speakers you can locally, and then youll feel more confident on your purchase, and in turn you speaker choice will sound better to YOU. Now to answer your ? You can send more than rated power to speakers if you set the amp gain right and dont overdrive the amp or speakers. I wouldnt suggest anything less than 100w for any comp speakers.
