FML Space Issues!!

Have an '08 SX4 and want space back but want to keep the thump. Rough huh.

I have 18x14x9 roughly under each front seat. ~.9 cubes gross.

And I have found a way to make a wall that only takes up the upper portion of the hatch area that can be ~37x8x12. 1.4 cubes gross.

I'm looking @ SA 8's and DD1508's currently.

Any other ideas are WELCOME.

Help is very appreciated. This is bending my brain over the kitchen counter.

(Current Setup DC Lvl 4 12" in 1.8 @ 32hz. 1200rms on tap.) Way too big.

Also, considered false floor. But Then mounting depth became problematic.

What 18 then? I have my DC Level 4 12 in minty shape to trade/sell and then a little cash. So I can't go too, too big.

I want this thing to stil sound decent. Not pure spl. I'm thinking, Level 4, BL, IA DR (if i can find 1 cheap)

Or even a 3518.

They don't have any 1508s, he sold those.

bahaha. Yupppp. I've had 8's. And i missed the ear achess. whenever i have small subs i love the space but then go bigger. Whenever i have big subs i love the thump but go smaller to save space. its a very expensive cycle. i figure if i go 18 and build a box into the cargo hold; ill be stuck with it for longer haha.

Seriously, I had an AQ SDC 10" on 900W tuned to 39 and now I have two 175W 12's on 350W tuned to 33. The 12's are louder even with the lower tuning, and play low as fuck, and still use a half of the power the other sub did.

Yup. surface area doubled adds "3db" but moves twice the amount of air. surface area and dd's high sensitivity can be serious business.

I'd love to find some 1500 serious anything. or a single 3500 something.
