flame question

Originally posted by MaXiMa ok i read on cardiscountstereo.com that the flame Q is 2 and 8 ohm stable. does htat mean that if i was to get a A2300HCQ amp that i would not be able to run the amp at 1 OHM? please i need some help with this
Subs aren't "stable", they are the ones that create the load, not receive it. The subs are DVC 4 ohm, wire them in parallel and that is a 1 ohm load. If the amp is 1 ohm stable, which that one is, then the amp can handle the impedance. Get it?

ok now i am starting to get this shit. ok i am used to wirin crappy subs ........ i sjut got in to the real brand names and stuff. the POLK GXR's are a whole lot easier to wire . you jsut plug to wires in to the amp and u are thumpin. but now i have to figure out what yall mean by parrell wiriing and since there is parell wiring i am guessing there is perpendicular wiring too.

No, there is parallel and series wiring.

In fact if you read that site from beginning to end like I did then you will learn more about car audio in an hour than you ever have before. I know I did. If it werent for that site then I would still be totally ignorant about car audio. I also have to thank the many many people of this wonderfull site for their halp in my issues and ?'s. You can learn alot about car audio at this forum and that site.

I love that site, it's got everything, from simple wiring, to ohms law, everything!!!
