.flac file help? i want to be able to play it and burn it...

Hello guys a friend of mine gave me aa data disc with some tracks which happen to be in.flac format. i tried playing this disc on my headunit (pioneer p3100ub) and it the screen shows no audio cd. so i tried to play it on my laptop and no luck with windows media player 12 (i'm using windows 7. I would like to know how do i go about playing this disc, i'm not to sure on what to do since i dont want to lose the "original quality" from these tracks... i was thinking of converting them, but i think that will lower the quality, but i'm not sure... the only music players i have is itunes/windows media player 12 and i believe i have roxio creator... as far as converters i don't think i have any... =( so feedback would be appreciated thanks!!!
