fixing /building amps???

can any one do it .. im quite tempted to try iv got a few knackered amps floating about different issues some power some its seems to be resistors etc so im told . but the cost of fixing the amps ..i could buy new ones .

im canny with a soldering iron . i can change parts in a pc and create circuits . got a maplins just down the road and thers always ebay n radio shack
