fixed my other problem, now i have a new one. amp keeps shutting off

. from time to time, my component amp will shut off. music still plays from my 6x9's (powered by the headunit) and the headunit is still on, but my component amp shuts off, then ccomes back on after about 10-20 seconds. what do u think that is?

its most likely going into protection, recheck all your wiring. Make sure its rated for what load you are giving it

not going into protect. the amp shuts off. the protect light doesnt even come on. the whole thing just shuts off, pretty much as if the power wire was pulled off. but its secure, and the amp turns back on after a few seconds

thats weird...i would take the cover off and see if something is loose on the inside that is making either the power or ground break continuity.

Also might want to check all the connections on your remote wire, m ight be loose somewhere behind the deck

it didnt just do it with my component amp. it also happened when i had my 600.1 hooked up. that one would also turn off. but i do remember the protect light coming on, so maybe my component amp is going into protect. but like i said, it did it when i had both my kx600.1 and EA2000 hooked up. figured it was my subwoofer pulling to much juice (weak alt) but now its doing it with just my component amp, which is only doing 65w x 2

Check all wireing on amp and behind deck and of course the battery. Open the amp if you have to to see if anything is comeing off the board, dissconect all power before doing so.
