Basic info
I have a 2002 wrx wagon
I listen to a large range of music, ranging from alt/rock, to DnB,Dubstep and everything in between, so I'm looking for an "all-rounder system" I understand that means compromise
Quality over sheer noise. I don't rattle my teeth.
Never messed with car audio before, so please be patient.
OK so it all started with me wanting to replace the factory HU with an android tablet. However I had a few requirements.
1) I wanted to REMOVE the HU (no wiring the headset port to a HU aux port crap)
2) I wanted to maintain a reasonably high sound quality.
After many hours I stumbled on this gem.

Perfect guide, however I'm not lucky enough to have a factory amp. So I needed an amp. Well if I'm getting a amp I might as well get good speakers. Well if I'm getting speakers I might as well get component speakers, since there is a factory tweeter mount just waiting to be filled. Well then I just HAVE to get a sub... as so down the rabbit hole I go HAHA.
SO, after some internet research I have come up with a basic list of parts. For all I know it is a random list of components that make so sense, but its a start. I expect it to be completely changed when finished so fire away!
A USB DAC to get some useable quality out of the tablet
Amazon.com: Behringer UCA202 Audio Interface: Musical Instruments
An EQ / crossover
Amazon.com : Clarion EQS746 1/2 DIN Graphic Equalizer with Built-in Crossover : Vehicle Equalizers : Car Electronics
The component speakers
Amazon.com : Infinity Reference 6500CX 6-1/2" (165mm) two-way car audio component loudspeaker system : Vehicle Speakers : Car Electronics
The amp for the comps
Amazon.com : Rockford Fosgate R400-4D 400 Watt Full-Range Class-D 4-Channel Amplifier : Vehicle Multi Channel Amplifiers : Car Electronics
The subs (I'll find a sealed enclosure later)

The amp for the subs
Amazon.com : Rockford Fosgate R500X1D Prime 1-Channel Class D Amplifier : Vehicle Mono Subwoofer Amplifiers : Car Electronics
My worries / questions.
I am really shooting in the dark with these choices, going off of internet reviews and guesses. Any system is only as good as its weakest part, so what glaring weaknesses would I have here?
1 sub or 2? (its a hatch so size isn't an issue)
Any and all advice is welcome!
