First time car buyer (from dealership)

I'm planning to purchase a new car. I've bought used cars before, but never new from the dealership.

It will probably be a Honda Fit.

Tips? Fee's I should watch out for? Negoitate?..and how should I got about negoitating?

If the dealer price 16,000, what should should I expect the out of door price to be?

Financing vs Cash. Does this effect negoiating. If I finance will I have a tough time negoiating?

if you have cash, find out how much invoice is

id offer 13,500 cash and see what they say, they need money right now anyways

yeah you should get it for $13.500 even if they don't give it to you at first they'll call within 3 days and you should get it for that easily

and do some research about the car, like dealer cost etc.

Right now nobody is getting any kind of loans. Until this bailout crap is figured out.

my car was listed at $13.5k, i offered $10k cash to the guy

he did the "let me talk to my manager" thing, came back and said they needed at least $11.5

i gave him my number, told him to call me if they changed their mind and walked out

i wasnt even around the corner by the time he called back accepting my offer

The one gm dealership around here is going bankrupt, 3+million in debt for vehicles, and another couple in back taxes. They're practically giving vehicles away right now. I guess they're trying to make as much as possible before they have to go to court next month.
