First time box build pictures....

Here are some pics of my brother in law and I taking the pics of my first box build. It was designed by JBLCAMRY. Let me know what you think. I have not put the top on yet as I want to get the sub here first. Also I was wondering if you could use caulk or something and screw the top down so if you had to get back into it you could? Just curious or if it would not work. I posted these pics in my pay for box designs thread but did not get many views so here it is again.

Thinking of color matching it to the car also. It's tuned to 33Hz according to the plans and port length.

Looks very nice to me. Are those braces really necessary? I know they can't hurt but it seems like overkill.

braces were probably overkill considering the double baffle and how narrow that box is...

*triple baffle... and double baffled top... yeah probably didn't need any bracing at all...

Thanks guys.... Its for a dc level 4 off sae 1000d... The reason for the triple front is for a flush mount. The double top and bottom were so I would have 1" of Mdf so the flush panel would hold up overtime.

What adhesive do you guys use for attaching vinyl type material to a box?

i use 3m #90 hi strength spray glue, get it a lowes or the depot, like 12 bucks a can.

box looks good for a first attempt.

Thanks.. Ok I will get that stuff the lady at hobby lobby gave m,e some stuff and when I got home and looked it clearly states not for vinyl LOL... I used some if for a test and I could put the material right off the mdf so I knew that stuff was a no go.... Going to skin it in a leather look black vinyl.. Decided against the painting as I was worried about chips from golf clubs in the trunk..

Also did some deadening of the doors.. I know its not the top notch stuff but I had 60 sg feet laying around from sons install.. I plan on maybe getting some of the spray on stuff and going over this to fill any voids I missed and to help with the adhesion in the future by overlapping and making the spray on cover it and then onto the metal surfaces. I do think the stuff will hold up though I used some of our roofing solvents to clean the metal and then used a few small spots of our adhesive to also hole the stuff in place.. It was all heat gunned also and I have some good excursion of rubber backing coming out. I did the inner door, inner metal door plate outer metal door plate and the actual door card.. Used 3-4 layers over it all and now it sound like plate steal when I hit the door LOL. Might use some second skin for the trunk.

Man, i wish the inside skin of my doors were that easy to get to. I tried building a box for 2 12's one time and it wasnt good at all.
