I do think the stuff will hold up though I used some of our roofing solvents to clean the metal and then used a few small spots of our adhesive to also hole the stuff in place.. It was all heat gunned also and I have some good excursion of rubber backing coming out. I did the inner door, inner metal door plate outer metal door plate and the actual door card.. Used 3-4 layers over it all and now it sound like plate steal when I hit the door LOL.
