First system- need advice

Hey all, I need some advice. I just bought this sub, couldnt pass it up for the money:

Now for an amp, I was thinking this one:

Can all this run on my Optima red top battery?

This is obviously on a tight budget as I am not really big into car audio- I just don't want something that's gonna crap out on me down the road or sound like ***. Thanks for the help all.

of course itll run on that battery just fine. As for the sub, its bottom of the line MB Quart, and as with all companys, you get what you will pay for. Same with the amp, its refurbished, so who knows how long it will last. If you want something decent and reliable, i would spend at least 100 bucks. If it was me tho, i would buy a decent 4 channel amp, run the front speakers off the front channels, and bridge the rear channels for the sub.

Well that amp should match that amp well. The subwoofer is probably a little limited on the lower frequency range. You have to understand that this will probably just give you a little boost in your audio. Don't expect any real "loudness" and am not sure but I have a feeling you may not like the sound quality that this will put out.

The truth is that if you want something that will last dont go with that setup.... how much is your budget?

Eh, my budget is what I want to do. I saw the sub for real cheap so I figured why not. I don't care enough about it to spend a lot of money. I'm doing this for the wrong reasons I guess. If it's not going to give much of a boost, I guess I'll just cancel the order.

The sub is alright, but the amp is pretty iffy. Spend a couple bucks more and get a more solid amp. If you're looking for just something to fill in the low end, just put it in a sealed box. If you want a little more punch to it, check into getting or making a ported box.
sealed = punchy

My advice to u... pay a littlre more and it will go a long way... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I sure did.
