i just thought it would be cool for people to list the first system they ever had.

heres mine...its nothing at all...just gets me by...

old sony headunit (40x4) / 10 cd changer

-(2) Pioneer 6-1/2" 4-Way Speakers 220 Watts Max. Power (doors)

-(2) MTX 6-1/2" Components (rear)

-Dual - 10 Single-Voice-Coil 1000W Bandpass Subwoofer System

-Dual - 460W 2-Channel Bridgeable MOSFET Amplifier

every1 prolly gonna say dual blows but i like it. 100$ for all the dual stuff was a great deal. it sounds great to me (only other thing i heard was a 12" audiobahm and a 1000+ amp..it was louder but sounded crappy...im more into sq anywho)

GO GO GO!

I had a cheap Alpine HU... a Kenwood 2 channel 600 watt amp, 2 10" Kenwood Tonados in some cheap prefabed boxes, and some Polk 4x6 speakers. I blew the hell out of the subs/spekaers and kept getting new ones cuz I had a 3 year warranty on everything I must have replaced them 6 or 7 times.

It was the year 1986 and I had just gotten my drivers license and my first car which just happended to be a 1979 Ford Pinto. I had a Pioneer KEH-7272 which played casestte tapes and had a supertuner II. In the rear deck was a pair of Pioneer TS-6907 6x9s which were handed down to me from my older brother. Not much bass but it sure got loud...........mmmmmmmmmmmmm good times.

My first soundsystem was a joke, but it was a 15" radioshack 8 ohm sub on a crunch amp... the box was... honest to God, a metal trashcan. One of the funniest looks I've gotten to date was from my physics teacher as he walked by when I was putting my bags in my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/help.gif.cee8f684da1ba626487a8bc51152e1ec.gif :tomatofac //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

My first soundsystem resided in my now defunct 83 Chevy C-10 pickup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fart.gif.9285a21c4a53b1a914c9dedbfcf9d894.gif . It had an Audiovox //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smash.gif.499e08a4a35ffaf54f4c8194fb8fe8ed.gif tape headunit (that ate every tape it ever played), two Audiovox dual cone speakers that rattled, four single cone 4x6 speakers wired under the seats, 2 mismatched 6' 3 way speakers, and an 8" speaker with a magnet on it the size of a stack of four quarters. Everything was neatly installed by the good old magnetisim and electrical tape. I had no idea how to hook anything up and probably did it all off of one channel of the HU. If it quit working, I just had to hit the dashboard really hard. The way it sounded... Was unimagineably bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/scared.gif.f134e57c6c93ccd0f15aa5ac32c7d4a0.gif but it was loud, though impossibly distorted.
