Would those Directed Audio amps be better than a set of Kicker or Orion? I know Directed and Orion are made by the same company but are there any differences? Out of Kicker, Orion, Memphis, and Directed which one makes the best amps for the price. None of them seem to be cheap companies.

Well all of the Kicker amps seem pretty expensive. I think I might stick with Orion amps unless you guys know of anything better around the same price.

Sub amp(s)

Memphis car audio

16-MC1000D ( 1100Wx1 @ 1 ohm)

16-PRD1000.1 (1000Wx1 @ 1 ohm)

Component amp

16-MC300( 150x2 @ 4 ohms)

16-PR300.2 ( 150x2 @ 4 ohms)

IMO, the MC series looks better than the PR one.

You can always get the Memphis belle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Where can I get those Memphis amps for a pretty good price then? It would be a plus if they were from a dealer or authorized.

Come on guys! Is it too good to be true. Or are they really and authorized dealer?
Call up Orion and ask. I'm sure if someone is claiming to be authorized and they are not, Orion would like to know about it. And if they are authorized; good deal.

My main concern with buying any amps are I would really want them to be authorized. I am willing to pay a little more, but they need to be from a place that is authorized. What do you guys think I should do? What brand amps should I look into?

I e-mailed them instead. I am just waiting for a reply now.

My entire system I am trying to have nice durable high quality equipment. I have a Pioneer 8600 headunit already and I am going to buy two 15" RE SEs. I will probably end up buying a set of CDT ef-61/cf components and then an Orion 1200d amp and a 4002 to do all my power.

Is there anything you guys would change? I am willing to spend more money on better stuff, but it has to be authorized. All of this will be going in a Ford Explorer. I just don't want to settle for something because it is cheap. I will pay more, but it has to be better. Thanks for helping. Now I need some replies and suggestions.

Kyle

What would you suggest? Should I look into better amps as well? I am willing to buy whatever as long as it isn't outrageously priced.

good better best amps are mundayne argueements at best speakers and processing mean alot more than an amp. you are going to need some good speakers to keep up with your subs. i like the id set rather well in an application like this others i know that will work are mb quart focal dls (havent heard them but i know who uses these and they wouldnt use them unless they were good) oz and boston acoustics. horns would be awesome in your set up too

Yes. It's one of those fundamental truths I somehow manage to unlearn every time I figure it out.
