since you're a novice at this why don't you take it easy and run 1 or 2 subs first before jumping into doing 4. Not to be a dick but i highly doubt if you have the knowledge to run an amp big enough to power all 4 nor will you have the installation skills to properly install 4 subs.

well, i already have my car setup with two 12's and i wanted it to be louder, hence coming to your wonderful forum. and no, i did not know it was that much different to run a higher power amp than it would to run what i already have, but i would like to learn how it's different so i could attempt it in the near future.

I like the kappas. They have a button to attenuate the tweeter down 3 db. I use it. The infinity references have a really bright tweeter. But the reference components and the kappa series can be brought down a little.
