First Post.. Tell Me What You Think Of My Setup

so can someone help me with somewhere to start based on what i have to work with and within my budget. it would be greatly appreciated.

ok, that was a lot at once. and to be clear, yes i am new at this, as i said before it is my first install. so try not to be too harsh, i promise i will listen.
so, is it just not mixing speakers on the same amp or not mixing speakers at all. my friend has 2 jl w3 12's and 2 kicker comp cvr 10's on one 1800w visonik amp and it's pretty loud, but he has it tweaked for rock music only, with that real tight punchy, thumpy bass. it sounds ok, but i listen to more bass heavy music, 3 6 mafia style bass heavy music. my 2 american bass sound pretty good on my 250, they are dual 6-ohm wired to 1.5 ohms, and they hit pretty hard, but i think it could be a lot louder.

i would like to stay at about $600-700 for everything i don't already have to use for the install.
your friend is an idiot, that is all

heres what you have to do

tell us what vehicle, what your electrical system looks like, you told us your budget, how much room you have to work with, SQ or SPL, and what you want to buy with that budget

Stick to same sized/brand/line subs when going w/ multiples.

And get hello kitty headrests for sound dampening purposes.

dont worry about these guys. they are just having fun.

dont mix subs at all. definatly dont mix on the same amp. thats a BIG no no. i put together a quick list for you to look at.

the subs will get you the boom your after. the amp is a good cheap amp. comps are pretty nice. the image dynamics might be better. but thats a respectable setup.

i have a 99 nissan altima with a 14 cu ft trunk and four 6 3/4" cut outs for speakers (front door and rear deck), also space for tweeters right by the door handle at top of door panel. right now i have a 4 gauge power wire from the battery to the amp and a 4 gauge ground wire in the trunk. leaning more towards the spl side. planning on another deck, probably will get used, something for mids and highs, already have the amps, just need the speakers, also want more bass. hope this helps.

Win:

2 Audioque SD2 12's:

$110 each

I'd recommend those as far as subs go. Great bang for the buck. The SDC2.5s aren't much more expensive, but take a bit beefier amplifier. I'd recommend finding an amp thats 600-1000w RMS at 2 ohms for the SD2s. If you end up getting SDC2.5s, look for a 1000-1200w amplifier. I'd highly recommend looking for an amp here on the forum. There are some great deals floating around.

any other ideas, been reading the type r thread and they seem pretty impressive, but since my budget is a little lower, would four type s subs sound good, if so, what kind of power would be good?

since you're a novice at this why don't you take it easy and run 1 or 2 subs first before jumping into doing 4. Not to be a dick but i highly doubt if you have the knowledge to run an amp big enough to power all 4 nor will you have the installation skills to properly install 4 subs.

Yes. Ring terminals will work great. crimp them pretty good. You can hit with solder to make a secure solid connection, and then Heat shrink over...
