First post...Need help picking out my new system

So i have a 2004 dodge ram quad cab with the 12" Kicker Cvr in a bassforms box under the back seat with kicker coaxials in the door speakers. The subs are powered by a 1200 watt ssl amp.

Im completely redoing my system though im gonna tear out all the seats and sound deaden under the carpet (all doors and behind back seat are done). I was gonna run strictly kicker this time though with 2 L5's or L7's with a zx1000.1 amp with the kicker components in the doors and kicker tweeters with some type of 4 channel amp.

I have been researching on here though and it looks like kicker may not be my best choice i wanna run some type of components in the doors along with good subs in the back that have a balance of spl and sq which i know is kinda difficult to find. I want it loud because right now what i have pounds pretty hard but i also want that clear crisp sound throughout when listening to music because i would probably run a knob to adjust the bass.

Basically something that is loud when i want it but can pound also when i need to let people know i have subs back there. My problem right now is it gets loud but gets to a point where it disstorts so any help on good components, good subs, and a good amp. I dont plan on going cheap as i want it done the right way but i dont plan on speanding 10 grand either.

You have a lot of choices out there but like everything it depends on your budget. Kickers are fine for your first system but you can get much better than kicker and cheaper if you wanted to. Instead of getting 2 l5 or l7's look at something like 2 FI bl 12's or 2 AQ Hdc3 12's or 10's even. Not sure what your space requirements are for a box and if you want it still below the back seat, lift the back seat up a couple inches or put the box on top of the seat idk.

You will be surprised but 2 audioque hdc3 10's would get louder than 2 kicker 12" L7's if you give the audioques at least 1500rms which they can take a lot more than that if you wanted to. The FI bl's would sound good and still get loud when you wanted to. The box you have plays a big part of the system along with the total install. Whatever you pick good luck.

10s will be very solid but if you have the space for 12s why not

Thats the box im running i know the airspace limits me quite a bit but i plan on leaving the box under the backseat then building a custom center console box, ive only ever dealt with mainstream stuff so i dont really know any other brands but the holes in the bx are 12's and if you notice i can cut out for square subs if i needed so im open to any options.

i dont really know any of the abbreviations either for the subs but like i said i want something loud that pounds but that bleands well with music for the subs, and i saw where people are running componets in tyhe front doors and leaving the backs empty. Can you not run components in all four doors?

So ive been researching and i kinda checked out Digital Designs websites and Fi website to, im impressed with what i read but like i said ive only really messed with kicker,Apline, Pioneer and a little bit of memphis

Some of the power ratings are crazy 1500w rms subs? thats incredible to me haha but give me some feedback on what you think would be good for subs to start with because i have no idea on these other companies.

well i dont want a 10,000 dollar system but i would say around 2 or 3000 which would be components, amps, and subs i already have the box im using untiul i can build a console box

this is the current box its very very limited on air space i know but i have 2 kicker cvr's right now and they pound pretty hard even though they dont have adequate space

as far as a future one i dont know yet for sure as i havent planned it, i was gonna get all this done and then decide if i wanted more bass or what.

Ive really been checking out the Fi, but ive never had any experience with them are they pretty good at taking a beating but still sounding good?

I didnt know either if i would go with the q's or the BL series
