first box

well im truly making me own box and i kinda ran into a problem... for some odd reason, there isnt a 90 degree angle with the baffle and the side walls. I went on to glue them together and there is a slight gap about 3-4 inches long. is this a big problem, and what to do to fix it. thanks for anything.

Hpw big is this gap? Width wise, not height wise. It would be best if you could just fix whichever piece isn't straight, but its very possible it's usuable..

If its sealed yes because of eair leakeage, if its ported yes becuas eof tuning, i woudl try to redue the project and cut straight lines, its worth it i nthe end, But igive you props for trying, most people odnt even try, and for that props mang, GL o nthe rest of the project

The gap is about 3 inches long and about a milimeter at the most extremes of it tall. couldnt i caulk the hell out of the insides to prevent the leak?

you can mix up some glue and saw dust and fill in the gap a bit. gule and seal it.

clamp and screw it to keep it tight.

good stuff though.. i was off by alot more the first time i made a box back in highschool.

You could attempt to caulk it, but honestly the caulk is likely to not hold. It is possible to use liquid nails in an attempt to patch it a bit better, but... what I would do is use clamps to bring it as close together as possible, w/ liquid nails inbetween each sheet, and then screw it firmly in place. (that will typically get rid of minor cracks like that.

just took another spin at it... and the gap is gone, a friend added another clamp during the drying process. theres little holes here and there but are really tiny, i think i could live with that. get some caulk in there.

just want to ask, would i be able to use resin to seal off the joints?

You could seal off the joints w/ a resin as well if you want to.
