Im guessing its going to be a sealed box, what is the space in the middle for?

its goin to be sealed for 2 12" type r's and the space in the middle is for 2 alpine mrd-m605 amps. im goin to build kind of a shelf thingy for them. i have a set of hinges for the top shelf so i can get to the lower one

i have done a few things before but nothin like this. i designed this box by my self and have have done everything my self. my girlfriend is goin out of town for like half a week so ill have time to finish it this weekend hopefully
