First attempt to building a box. Going ported on it. Not sure If I will carpet it or not. Depends on the results.

Just got the subs in the mail. Two Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1 subwoofers..

Got the pieces cut at Home Depot..

Did the sub cut outs in the shop at the high school I used to go to..

Gotta paint them ports black..

Action shot..lol.

Test fit for the subs.. looks like a tight fit just because they were sitting on the floor not touching the wood..

Still in process so more pics to come as I get done.

Yeah I am..

Got a question though, are my subs gonna like "flutter" unevenly? I thought when doing a ported box on more than one woofer without have individual ports, the inner port wall must end where both subwoofers will have equal access to the air passing through the port? So like should I extend that inner port wall to where it is evenly between the two subs or what? It doesn't show it on the design like that so I would have to do it myself.

Na, you'll be fine. Extending the port will change box volume/tuning.

Well, box is together except for the top of it. I am going to let it sit and dry for a day. Got my pieces cut at home depot, what I mistake. Every piece was wrong, their cuts weren't straight. So I had to go ahead an fix that before putting the box together. Never getting them cut there again. I have to run to work but I'll get pics tonight.

Sit and dry for a day? meh, I always listen to mine in the next couple hours, if you used screws you'll be fine.

edit: misread the post....go get that top and attach it!

Ha no sorry, I guess I really didn't make too much sense in that last post. I was in a rush. I just didn't have time to get the top on. I am thinking about just painting the thing rather than carpeting it. I like how the ports look painted black.

Went to fit on the top this mornin, doesn't quite fit right. As you can see in the picture, the left outside wall on the box is about 4/5 of an inch long so it sticks out that much from the top of the box. Does this really matter?

It is the wall on the left, by the port..

you got the wood cut at home depot and its not straight? how did that happen? they should be straight, just maybe no be the right length

nope, they weren't straight at all. I don't know what was wrong with their saw, but I hope it isn't always like that because none of them were perfect square.
