alright i have a camaro so im very limited on space. im making this for a 12" l5 solobaric sub. i would like to have it as much over 2 cubes as possible but i also would like to have it tuned to about 30-35hz. ill go make a little example in paint real quick and post the picture in here.

alright i made the picture here ill try and put it in here it is kinda big though. the site wouldnt let me attach it.

you see what i mean? it isnt a true recangle or square i have to angle it so i can put the sub in the box. i need to calculate how big to make the port size so i can go ahead and build it.

lmk what you guys think and some suggestions.

wow thats gonna be really really hard to keep together imo if ur a first time builder
i dont think it should be too terribly hard. and i would rather just build a regular square but i want it too look good. i could just make a square box and fold down the back seat and put it there and just take it out whenever i need to but i want it to be nice if you've looked at my cardomain you'll see that i dont usually take the easy way i want to do it right.

1.7 cubes for the two square parts the middle section is .82 cubes. thats 2.5 for the whole box not taking into effect of the angles so it will be alittle more than that.

I did a pretty complicated box build a few months ago, and all I can tell you is plan, plan, plan. Make sure you get the correct angles for the cuts before cutting the actual board, try it out on a scrap piece. Just take you time and, unless you have the exact dimensions calculated, be prepared to build as you go.

i wish someone could help me with this port measurement so i can build it tomaro! i know someone in here knows something about porting a box correctly...?

u only gave it like 6 hours on a saturday night man lol people will help tomarrow
actually 7 hours //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i was just hoping i could get it all figured out tonight so i could do it tomaro.

which side are you gonna have the subs on, and which side is the port going to be firing out of?
with that, maybe we can help a little bit...its gonna be a P.I.T.A. eitherway
looking at the top view in the picture the sub will be on the left and the port would be on the right. thats what i was thinking. but it could be switched around i guess it doesnt really matter.

ive got an 89 third gen, and unless youre familier with building enclosures id say get a prefab. http://www.proboxrocks.com i have one in my car right now and im hittin 139 untuned with a single twelve. the box was very cost effective. and i may sell it if the offer is good. ive decided i want to glass a box for my car.

well i would really like to build it myself but ill see. i doubt it is going to be too complicated i just cant figure out how to make the **** port on it and no one else does either.

btw all those on that site are for circular subs...

yeah i know... i had an audiobahn in there but cut it for an L7. ill take pics of the box and port if you so wish... careful with what 4x6s you get for the dash they can only be like 2 inches deep IIRC. and i nixxed my 6x9s in the back for midbass drivers instead.
