im planning on building a ported box for a 8 inch sup firing into my cabin through a ski pass in the backseat. My plan is to have the port the same side as the sub a couple of inches undearneath but still into the cabin. Would this be a good idea? Or should i fire it to the back of the trunk?

If you are going to have them firing into the cab, you will want to seal off the trunk from the cab.
Word if the cabin isn't sealed from the trunk you'd get more output just facing the sub towards the back

If you face it forward and have any trunk vibrations that is lost spl.. If you don't want to seal it then face it back
But what if forward firing and no sealing is louder than firing back? What if firing forward reduces pressure in the trunk to stop trunk flex/rattles? What if the car actually likes to flex?

ive done lots of setups in trunks and firing forward w/o sealing it off has sucked in every one. ive only "almost sealed" off one and it sounds really nice but needs much more port and needs to be tuned higher.

I am in the same bind here except I wont have the backseats folded down. I am thinking about sealing off right behind the sub with the subs facing forward towards the cabin and the port to the passenger side. Would this have better output then just facing subs back?
