Firing direction in a BMW 325Ci?

I'm going to be building a 1" thick completly plexiglass ported box/amp rack for a 2001 BMW 328i and I need some advice.

BMW trunks don't really let sound escape into the cab of the car all that well because of their solid engineering, so I need any advice on anyone who has done this or thinks they know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

My two thoughts besides standard rear firing were subs faced upwards and two round ports that feed directly into the old woofer cutouts (about 3" diameter) (I would obviously have to remove the woofers) or face the subs up (at the rear shelf) and a slot vent directly into the armrest (which would pretty much require that the armrest be down when playing music)...

I just don't know what is going to bring sound into the cab.

She is using an Audiobahn A1500HCX amp to power the RE 12" XXX... she used to have two AW120Q subs in a sealed box, and she is looking for something noticably louder, with a more custom look. Just trying to guage some ideas here!

Thanks guys,

Shameless bump.

I realize this may be better suited in the boxes forum?

Mabey a mod could move it?

Also, she doesn't want a solid plexiglass box after I showed her the price for large sheets of plexi, so we are moving to a 1" think MDF box with a 3/4" XXX logo plexi cutout on the box... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That wood will be easier to work with anyway. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You have a good question, since my sister just bought a 2000 323i which now needs some bump, being that she's in my family. Let me ask you this, while I'm at it.. did you get the stock deck out? I did a quick look through, and it's typical of a German car. If the stock deck by some miracle has subwoofer preouts I'll be happy as well.
