to give you an idea.. heres the SA12s predicted incar response in 1 cube sealed (orange) and 1.75 @ 35hz ported (yellow)

heres the Group Delay. the blue line is JL Audios 12w6v2 in its rec sealed box (their top SQ sub)

I'm sorry, i don't fully comprehend these graphs. But obviously the JL looks much better. The jl is also 3X the price of the SA12. Is that really comparable?

i just used the JL for reference. the flatter the graphs, the better sounding the bass
