Finishing my system, wiring help.

Yes I went mainstream with the brands, but I'm not going thru the hassle of returning anything now unless I have to, I'll just upgrade as time goes by. Everything's here except for the box. I just need help on everything needed to install. (distro blocks, 1/0 gauge fuses, etc.)

After research, I think I have to run two 1/0 gauge runs of power & ground wire to a distro block, which will then split off into (4) 4 ga wires. Before being connected to the battery, I'll have 2 inline fuse holders(?) with fuses for each power wire? Also upgrading big 3.

Probably going with knukonceptz wire. Also need RCA reccomendations, and that's it?

Misc. Questions:

-Does everyone usually use the stock speaker wire that came with the components or do they upgrade it?

-What gauge of speaker wire shall I use for the subwoofers?

-Crimp or Solder?

-Is an extra battery needed or should I just buy an optima yellowtop for the front?

Thanks for the input.

Holy balls you wasted a lot of money.

Get your RCAs from KNU as well.

You dont need an extra battery if you wire things right. Big 3 is recommended. Replacing the front battery wont help much or at all really. Just dont play stereo with the car off.

Solder is best, but crimping works.

New wire is preferred but old wire works too.

Speaker wire 14-16 gauge

Subwoofer 10-12 gauge

solder is better but crimp if you want to save time and are lazy

Extra battery depends on power

Thanks for the recs, is the new speaker wire for the comps a pretty much required upgrade?

Thanks fellas,

Also I want to get a box shipped since the shops around here overcharge.

Who's better, DC enclosures or mobileenclosures?
