Heres some pics of my installation. I'll be submitting reviews of the components in the reviews section later on.

Head: Pioneer avic f900bt

Amp: Alpine pdx-5

Fronts: PG Rsd 6.5 components

Rears: PG RSD 6.5 coaxials

Subs: 2 Pg Rsd 10D

Total Cost: around 2k.

The amp was installed under the seat to conserve space. The 2 RSD 10D's were enclosed in a wedge styled encloser that fit perfectly against the back seats. My goal was to have a great sounding system under $2000. Only problems so far was my bud sat in the passenger seat and the sub cables pulled out of the amp. I just replugged them and no problems whatsoever.

The system overall is great for the price. The highs were at first a bit tinny, but I adjusted them through the f900's eq and they sound good now (still not better than the JL's I heard, but close enough). The 2 PG RSD's are really incredible: very crisp and responsive. They also are pretty well rounded; I listened to some hip hop, rock and R&B and they all sounded great.

I asked my friends how much they thought I spent on the entire system (not knowing the components), they thought I spent about 4K. Funny thing though, they all had different opinions about how the EQ should be adjusted.

Pretty satisfied with the equipment, especially the price.

well it's good to hear you're happy with the setup. that $2k seems pricey for what you have . doesn't matter though, you like it and that's all that matters. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

do you have more pictures of the car? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

It was 1400 for the components, and about 500 for installation. I am going to try and take some pics tomorrow.

oh ok. i was about to shed a few tears for the waste of money lol.

it shouldnt be a bad system. its a bit high for a 'budget' setup - then again you had a shop do it so that accounts for the bit extra being NON-DIY. but i will sound good im sure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

my friends always have different opinions on where the EQ settings sound the best too.

anyway, looks like a clean install. any more pics of the car? sat in one at the NY auto show and i liked it more than i thought i would.

I noticed your screen for the F900. I know you can download any photo for your welcome screen (just put my F900 in today), but I was wondering if there is a website for pic downloads? Also, do you know if you can download any different voices than Jason and/or Samantha? Thanks!

The Kappa's have a high sensitivity rating of 93 db so the X802-5 would be fine. A good high sensitivity 8" sub in a properly sized box would fit...
