Fing Stupid Amp

These are the new Mj's, they are single 4 ohm. So that means they can only be wired to 2 ohm.

How would I wire them down to .5 ohm if I was going to do that?
How did you wire them? Did you run a wire from each sub to the amp inputs or did you wire from the negative of one to the positive of the other?

Do you have two 4 ohm drivers wired parallel for a 2 ohm load? If you wired them in series they would be 8 ohm.

At 2 ohms, you are not getting the full power of that amp. Your only getting 1300 watts total or 650 watts per sub.

If you had 2 ohm subs or dual 4 ohm subs, then you could have wired them to be a total of 1 ohm load, which from that amp would give you 2200 watts or 1100 watts per sub. If you wired them in series at 8 ohms your only getting 325 watts per sub, or less.

Big difference.

This is why it is important to correctly match amps and speakers together. If you want more power, you either need different subs or a different amp.
