I don't like flashy stuff but seeing inside the case I think is cool. I got rid of most of the lights and am just using two UV cathodes and some UV die in the water so that the tubes glow... it looks sweet. Just have to finish putting it back together now. Also replaced the fans with quieter non led fans.i never understood all the lights and windows and shit.
thats why I got a box with no fancy windows, just some big *** fansi never understood all the lights and windows and shit.
nothing needs 8 now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gifnothing needs 16gb, at least nothing i would ever use
I have heard after the service pack 1 release it now uses the full 4 but I could be wrong, I know the 8 was un-necessary but for the price I got it for, I figured I could always upgrade to 64bit when i get the time/money.Vista only supports 4 GB in 32-bit trim, and that's what Microsoft says. I've seen independent tests they say it's only capable of actually using 3.5GBs...
No, it just shows 4 so people don't call up OEMs asking what happened to their 0.5-1.5 GB of missing memory in their "4 GB" 32-bit system ...I have heard after the service pack 1 release it now uses the full 4 but I could be wrong, I know the 8 was un-necessary but for the price I got it for, I figured I could always upgrade to 64bit when i get the time/money.

BTW, like I said, I don't care if you link to external sites, just don't put people down who try to help you.I would post links with information from multiple tests showing that the HD4850 beat out the 98000GTX but last time I posted up a link to a computer site I was banned for an entire week, so I am unable to argue that point.
I ran Prime95 through out the night last night and it held fine, although temps did get a little higher then I would have liked to seen. I will most likely tune the OC down to 3.4 or so as I don't really need anything ran this high.
Depends entirely on the hardware itself as 32bit OS can only address 4Gb worth of memory which the hardware in the computer takes up some (like the video card) only leave 2.8-3.5GB for the OS/Apps.Vista only supports 4 GB in 32-bit trim, and that's what Microsoft says. I've seen independent tests they say it's only capable of actually using 3.5GBs...
You mean your not running 64bit now?! Dude... your missing out. Vista 32bit is soo slow and virutally unstable compared to 64bit vista... 64bit is the only reason to go to vista might as well be using XP...I have heard after the service pack 1 release it now uses the full 4 but I could be wrong, I know the 8 was un-necessary but for the price I got it for, I figured I could always upgrade to 64bit when i get the time/money.
Yup... no good performance 4gb kits though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifx2
However, it's definitely worth filling it up w/ 4gb over 2 with today's prices.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifyeah, everyday I use this computer I am happier and happier with my investment so Im glad I did this and I will be building one for my room mate as well this winter.
I know, the comment I made was targeted at one person who was making recommendations he knew nothing about, but when I made the comment I realized it was generalized at the entire crowd before I could change it, and that was my bad.BTW, like I said, I don't care if you link to external sites, just don't put people down who try to help you.
Glad you're liking your new system.
