Finally, BOX LOG! *pics* (eventually)

I like doing my sides a different way. If external dimensions dont allow for extra, I just make it ugly and do diagonal cuts with a square in the center. If I can design it how I want, I leave an inset on the each side 1". Then cover the box and cover the side panels and hammer them into the insets.

EDIT for pictures:

Hrmm, whatever floats ya boat I guess //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm just used to the four triangle meeting in the center of the sides method.

Usually my boxes are too wide for that method, and I always end up with glue lines unless I cut the center out and put a square center in. I think its the carpet though. Its kinda thick. I want to try the stuff from your autotrim.

I still don't know how JB managed to do this rabbet thing, mine didn't turn out well. I had to use a .75x.75x14.5 piece of MDF to keep the side inset (look at first pic).
Should have made the side come all the way out to be flush with the front, instead of putting in that little strip. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
