Finally, BOX LOG! *pics* (eventually)

My 12" magnum box got fuked by me going on vacation (didn't even start it), plus my friend wants to try out a design I sent him, so I'll make him a box fo' free. Trying out the rabbeted edge carpet technique, hopefully it works *gasp*

Anyway, gonna start building now, here's the new design. Two type r 12s, 4.25 cubes at 31 hz.

That should be loud, it looks very similar to my old box for my R's. mine is 4.3ft3 tuned to 33hz.

yeah I was just curious, cause i'm trying to design a box myself.

mine would definitely be smaller than that, though. I was kind of interested in the port area.

i'm doing 2, 12's in 3-4 ft^3 (probably 3.5) and I was thinking of two 4" ports about 17" long (tune to ~32 Hz).

44 sq in of port area, small, I know. I'm not too worried though. Either way, it was free and I owed him a box and he's already the loudest at my school with the setup he has currently. No pics yet, just done assembling and need to sand and paint the port. Things I like:

1. Simple

2. Doesn't take much time

3. People are still impressed (my neighbor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif )

Things I didn't like:

1. Some ****** cut the wood for me because I was too lazy, thus, unmatched panels

2. I had no fuking clue as to what I was doing in regards to the carpeting job, but it looks okay (I used my table saw to "rabbet" into the wood)

3. Simple

Other than that, not bad of a build. Some more port area would ahve been nice, but it's all good.
