i didn't know you were allowed to compare a type-r to these
j/k man. type r's are great subs for the price, these sure did burn a whole in my wallet. But the type r's are going to be much more user friendly seeing that they don't need as much power and weigh 1/4 of what these weigh.

if you really did want to compare the two though...mine would have more SPL for sure, type r would probably edge it out SQ wise

The DD's will take the type r in SQ any day of the week.

yea i'm happy that i held out. i think this build is going to be disgustingly loud. My goal is to hit that 150 mark.

I see no reason why a 150 cant be had with these. Solid build, and some power and your in.

its gonna be a blow through in my regular cab ranger(that will deff. help lol)

i'm still debating on amps. i would really wanna do a kicker 2500 on each. but those crunch GP 3000 pro's are SICK

Plenty of powerfull amps to chose from. I like the AQ stuff.
