I'm going to get this HU because of the USB input. Think about it, it unlocks a whole new world. Hook up a 2.5" external HD and you're golden! Absolutely no more CDs!

Indoaudio. . . fvck them. They're a bunch of lazyazz liars. Ordered 2 Type-Rs from them, they sent the tracking number to me quickly, but the subs just sat there at their warehouse for almost a week. During that time, I relentlessly emailed them about it, and they didn't tell me there was a "problem in their inventory system", I just got the run around over and over. Finally, a week after that, I got them.

Now here's the best part, I go to leave them negative feedback (which they deserve), and they leave me RETALIATORY NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. What kind of self-respecting company does this? Look at their feedback and you'll know what I mean.

How can a buyer get a negative?! I paid right after I won the item. That should be a positive feedback.

well they do state that it generally takes 2-7 days before shipped. Last time i bought it was shipped right away and recieved right away. Not everyone has a possitive experience with even the most reputable stores. I just know my last experience was a good one so i was willing to go to them again. They are also one of the few that ship to canada. Sorry you had a bad experience with them, and hope i dont end up haveing one as well.

Man, you're lucky, it took me from january 14th till the beginning of february to get my xxv-01d, and 3 or 4 week to get my type-x's from them.

It sucks so bad to have EVERYTHING ready to be put in the car, and not be able to make an appointment for installation because you don't know how long it's gonna take to get your stuff...... aggrevating.

And after all that, the xxv-02a i got from them was broken out of the box, and with all the threads about horror stories trying to get thing replaced or fixed by them, i shelled out the $140 to have the **** thing fixed at a local repair shop.

As for the headunit you're after, it's a great unit. I've got the xxv-01d, which is the exact same unit with different DAC's and of course '25th anniversary' stamped on it. It's an amazing deck. Not quite as many functions as the 2003 excellons (pro-logic was PIMP! on the 979, and the flip down controls were awesome, too) but it's def. a solid deck, and it seems like all manufacturers are putting less features on their US market units, since most people are happy with their $100 heads from BB or CC.

Overall the only complaint i have with the unit is the extreme-scratchability of the plastic they use on these new units. It's made to be extremely shiny, and looks great, but i consider myself to be more careful than most with their toys, i've never cleaned it, and only put it in the included faceplate case, but in direct sunlight, i can already see little hairline scratches all over the face. They need to use a less scratchable plastic, IMO.
