Final Subwoofer Showdown

I have a 92' Toyota Corolla DX Sedan. In it resides a 12" Lightning Audio Bolt Series subwoofer running off a 4 channel 100w per channel Jensen Amp. I want to upgrade to something Decent. Here's the final list I think:

MA Audio 12XEC

Kicker Comp VR

Infinity Kappa

Alpine Type-R

RE

RE SE

I would like to run it ported as I want something loud for a change. The Lightning isn't even audible outside the car at full tilt and my car is falling apart and full of holes so it should be audible at least. Not that I want to blast others but just to compare how quiet it is. I would like to if I can still run the sub off the Jensen amp. It bridges to provide 250w @ 4 ohms so I can either do 250w per VC and run a RCA Splitter or just wire it down to 2 ohms on that bridged load for 500w that way. Either way I think I want it ported, tuned in such a way so that it shakes the rib cage. That kinda crisp bass not so much just loud but, more movement bass than heard bass. I don't know if that means to tune it really low or not like 28hz. I probably will have about 120$ soon to work with. If I need more I can wait a while and possibly build up from there but I don't have much income so it won't go all that much higher. Also any suggestions for other subs that would work would be appreciated as well as any deals you might see. I would really like to keep it 12" or larger. I have a 1cu 12" Box in there now that could be reused if neccessary but we can build another box for whatever we get.

Could I get an RL-P for 100$ Shipped though? I really wish I coulda got one of those CVR's off someone :/ It seems like the only people who got them shipped either aren't selling or are only putting them up on E-bay. What do you guys think in regards to box volume and porting? What would the requirements and tunings be on these things?

if you get a Kappa get the 12DVQ......I ran a single 12VQ and it sounded good and got loud for what it was //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

otherwise I dont know cuz havent use any of the others....but Im ordering a SE12 this week

just because you cant hear it outside the car doesnt mean it isnt loud. For example in my car no bass is really audible outside the car but the bass does get loud inside the car. And thats what really matters. The only thing I can really hear out side is the trunk rattling. But other than that the car holds the bass in pretty well.

SAME HERE!!! i thought i was the only one.....my trunk flexes like no other, my roof flexes alot, my doors flex alot, and something under the car rattles , but bass isnt really that audible outside....just the bass kicking the shit outa my car...

Also about my car holding in the sound, It's a 92 Toyota Corolla with holes rusted through from the outside to the trunk. It's made of paper thin sheet metal lol. It's quiet enough not to be even audible outside the car when it is wanging at full volume.
