It doesn't work that way, in short..... depending on the crossover topology you chose you'll typically see a impedence from the x-over of 6.5-7.5 ohm.

its not important really... the only time the amp would see that is right at (and around) your crossover point... if it is supplying higher frequencies, it will see the impedance of the tweeter, if its supplying lower frequencies, its seeing the impedance of the mid.

active = preamp therfore you connect it via rca before the amp

if you want something post-amp you want a passive crossover

search ebay or something and you will find one
