haha again you are wrong.... the RMS is not an amount of how much it couuld take, it is the optimum performance zone. providing less wats than the RMS will not extract the subs full potential, not to say it still wont be great, but it wont be its best. thats why i said underpowered, not it wouldn't work, just not optimum!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/present.gif.046205b11bb0957af93450bd4cc53e1b.gif

O, genius great, read the red print under power handling and know that RE rates their drivers the same way. Just because JL gives you an optimum zone (and it is underpowered to get the most out of the W7 and over powered for some of the other series depending on the enclosure, so you are still misguided), doesn't mean that every company rates their subs that way. Enclosure is everything. Take a sub rated for 175 watts, the RE8 comes to mind. Do you think that you need 175 watts to get the full potential out of the sub. People that know more than me would tend to dissagree. 100W can get that sub to full excursion in a ported enclosure. Thermally (what the RMS rating covers on most all subs) the speaker will be fine but you can damage the suspension irreparably with much less than the rated power in certain enclosures. Take a large sealed enclosure for instance. It takes less power to get a sub to stroke out in a large sealed enclosure than it does in a small sealed enclosure. If you don't understand how the sub and the enclosure interact to get the real power handling of the sub or realize that just because a sub doesn't hit the end of its linear travel doesn't mean that it is underpowered, then maybe you should find another hobby , cause you sure don't know what you should about this one. If you decide to stick with this hobby, learn WTF you are talking about before you try to tell someone who is actually educated on the topic you are talking out of your ass on that they are wrong. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I tried to be nice about this but you had to be an ass. Fine. Be blissful in your ignorance. Don't expect to be assisted by those that can help you if you act like a know-it-all prick.

BMFlash- I just couldn't let it go...

Why ask questions id you already know the answer?? W7 is the best sub, it costs the most, which means its the best.

Can you say loser list??? People with #'s in their names arent doing to well.

I voted W7 only because I know the W7 and Diamond 10's sound like. Between Diamond and W7 I'd take W7. But I haven't heard the 10" version of RE's sub. Although I'll have a 15" here in a couple days.

Personally with that much money I'd buy a lesser 15" if you want a single sub but thats just me. Or a pair of 12's. Neither a single W7 or TDx was loud enough in my car at all. I'd say 800w is not overpowering the 10w7 as long as you don't play testones. I had a 500/1 on a 10w7 and I know it could have taken alot more for music for sure. 800w would be good for that sub. I've heard the Brahma 10" ported is just supposed to be straight wicked. The SQ is supposed to be better than any other Brahma setup there is in any size and any enclosure. Plus the ported size box for that sub is like less than 1 cube I think lol and sealed its like .25 cubic ft. You could fit throw that thing on the passenger floor board when you wanted to and still have ample leg room for a passenger in most cars.......well in cars bigger than Miatas, and tight sports cars. In my car you could do that.

haha LMAO at all of you, i guess you are right, i am still learning, though quickly, i didnt realize you were so knowledgable on the subject, i appreciate your time and opinions. Thank you! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/clap.gif.178cba2c538c68e720c727fcb024b19c.gif
