Hey guys I'm new here. I'm trying to figure out an amp and sub combo that match my needs.
For now lets just assume I don't have a price limit, but I'm not going to be able to afford anything ridiculous like a critical mass amp or anything along those lines. I guess what I'm saying is keep it close to reasonable.
I know what I'm looking for soundwise, but my knowledge is contained only to the reasearch I've done online. I know I want 2 10" subs and I want the clearest, least distorted bass I can get. I don't care too much about how loud it is, I'm willing to sacrifice volume for quality. I want to have the subs alternate when they kick as opposed to kicking simultaneously (I want to say bridge? Not sure if that's how you accomplish that or not.) since I listen to a lot of metal and I want the subs to at least stand a chance at keeping up with these drummers and their ridiculously fast feet. I've read raves about Diamond Audio D6 subs, but I currently have a Phoenix Gold Ryval 754v which is only rated 500 RMS which is what the D6s are rated at and I'd want to power two. Plus I'm not sure if there are other reasons these subs wouldn't pair together well with that amp.
So basically are these subs right for what I'm going for? If so how should I try to power them? And If not what sub/amp combo would you recommend?
Also I get a lot of dust in my trunk since I live down a 4 mile gravel road. I'm going to try to figure out something to stop the dust from getting in, but if I can't would this be a big deal? Could it ruin my subs once I get them?
